Credit goes to the always awe­some Trail­er­ad­dict. I don’t know if truly loathe this yet but I do feel a lit­tle creeped out by it.

The last few years have seen the resur­gence of many child­hood favorites from the 80’s.  Alvin  & The Chipmunks,GI Joe and even Trans­form­ers. With the announce­ments of Mighty Mouse, He-Man and even Max Steel it seems Hol­ly­wood is primed and ready to pil­lage more child­hood sta­ples for box office rev­enue. One of newest projects gain­ing momen­tum is the Smurfs due in part of its all-star cast and the curios­ity sur­round­ing pre­sen­ta­tion. Well thanks to the crew at com­ing soon we now have a pic­ture of Hank Azaria as Gargamel. I have to admit it looks really close to the car­toon but the real ques­tion is how will the Smurfs look and will it be successful?

The  Smurfs opens August 3, 2011 in my“favorite” film style the all mighty 3-D.

The cast includes Neil Patrick Har­ris, Jayma Mays, Sofia Ver­gara, Anton Yelchin, Jonathan Win­ters, Katy Perry, Alan Cum­ming, Fred Armisen, George Lopez, Paul Reubens, John Oliver, Kenan Thomp­son, B.J. Novak, Jeff Fox­wor­thy, Wolf­gang Puck and Gary Basaraba.

Once again, the BTR issues con­tin­ued to plague My Take Radio. Luck­ily, it wasnt as bad as before and I was able to sal­vage the show. I was joined this week by Kevin Baird from Video Game News Radio & Don Ander­son from Tum­blin With Tum­ble­weed. We ran a marathon for this broad­cast due to sound issues and time con­straints, but over­all it was a great appear­ance by Kev & Don. Can’t wait to have them back.
