Metroid has always had a cult following due to its deep storyline and engaging gameplay. When Metroid ventured into FPS territory it was received with mixed results and as such splintered the fan base. When the announcement was made that Team Ninja was doing the next Metroid installment fans were not sure if it was a good thing or a bad thing. The only thing fan knew was that Samus would be more voluptuous and have better boob physics . Other M takes the Ninja Gaiden style gameplay and mixes in FPS features to bring you a unique entry in the storied Metroid franchise. Check out the trailer and decide if Team Ninja will do this franchise justice.

My Take On: The Nintendo Media Summit
by Rich on Feb.25, 2010, under Video Game Trailers, Video Games
For weeks, Nintendo has been hyping up some special announements which many thought would have to do with the Wii but as it turns out, the hardware focus came from the new Nintendo DSi XL. The DSi XL, as it name implies, is a larger DSi with a larger stylus. As I stated a few episodes back, this DSi has e-reader written all over it — and I was correct as Nintendo will be releasing a 100-Classics Book Collection. This coleection will include books from authors such as Shakespeare, Dickens, Austen, Dumas, Twain and many others and will only cost $19.99 when it’s released on 6/14. At $189.99 the system is only $20 bucks more than the smaller DSi, which to some may be a good value given the larger screen. While I feel Nintendo is just recycling the DSi, I am certain this larger system will appeal to some casual gamers and may even be the start of a DSi e-book reader. Should Apple be concerned with this little addition? Have a look for yourself and decide.
