1st Impression: Robert Rodriguez’s Predators
by Rich on Mar.14, 2010, under Movie Trailers
The Predator films have been a guilty pleasure of mine for a long time, from the battles with Schwarzenegger and Glover, to the two films battling the Aliens. The Predators themselves have always had a unique presentation to movie fans because they really are anti-heroes and there are times you actually end up rooting for them. When Robert Rodriguez announced his intent to reboot the franchise there was a part of me that was concerned because of the casting that was involved, but as I researched the film more, I enjoyed the concept Rodriguez was using. In this new interpretation human “Predators” and cold blooded killers are taken to a planet which serves as a Predator hunting ground and, of course, it becomes survival of the fittest. I feel that the Predator books as well as the films always focused on the hunting of the strongest prey, and this film continues to enforce that. Here is your sneak peek at the Robert Rodriguez’s Predators.
1st Impression: Iron Man 2 — Second Trailer
by Rich on Mar.10, 2010, under Movie Trailers, Movies
Iron Man 2 is due in theatres in two months, and this new trailer makes me appreciate the work that Jon Favreau has put into this franchise. Of course the big sell is the onscreen debut of War Machine — now played by Don Cheadle, who replaced Terrence Howard. We can’t forget the Black Widow as well, who looks like she will make things interesting for Mr. Stark.
Mickey Rourke and the always awesome Sam Rockwell are your villains from what we’ve seen so far. Rourke will play Whiplash (who may or may not also become Crimson Dynamo) and Rockwell is criminal mastermind and businessman Justin Hammer.
Iron Man 2 looks like it has the right spark to start the new summer blockbuster season and quite frankly I wouldn’t have it any other way.

1st Impression: Edge Of Darkness Trailer
by Rich on Jan.13, 2010, under Movie Trailers, Movies
Let’s start off by saying that I have been a fan of Mel Gibson’s for a long time. Whenever he has done thrillers and period pieces he seems at his strongest. “Edge Of Darkness” takes Mel back to those thriller roots we know him so well for. His performance in this movie borrows from movies like Ransom, Taken and Payback in terms of pace and ferocity.
Gibson plays Detective Thomas Craven, a man whose daughter is brutally killed in his home. Craven thinks she was killed because of his police work. However, her murder is a part of something far bigger and far more dangerous.
I am glad to see that Mel Gibson is returning back to his successful roots. I will be going to check this out for sure.
1st Impression: Iron Man 2 — Trailer
by Rich on Dec.17, 2009, under Movie Trailers
With the great success that Iron Man became, we knew that Marvel was going to continue the exploits of Tony Stark on the silver screen. A few days ago I put up the poster for Iron Man 2, which showed the debut of War Machine. Following the release of that poster we were treated to a another one of Mickey Rourke as Whiplash. The buzz surrounding Iron Man has been huge and will continue to grow by leaps and bounds until the release of the film.
The newest promotion for Iron Man is a viral marketing campaign where fans are given the task of decoding secret messages. One of the first pictures had a silouette of what appears to be Bruce Banner. Whether I am right or wrong will be revealed in the coming months. For now feast your eyes on the trailer for Iron Man 2.
Enjoy!
